Control Freak

Are you struggling with a sense of powerlessness and loss of control in your life? Do negative self-defeating thoughts seem to have taken over, leaving you in a spiral of uncertainty? It can be challenging to regain that sense of control and contentment with oneself when constantly burdened by people-pleasing tendencies, overthinking, and a relentless pursuit of perfection.

Control-related challenges such as micromanaging may dominate your personal relationships, work tasks, and daily routines. You might find it challenging to let go of overseeing even the tiniest details, driven by perfectionism, which results in stress. The unwavering need for order and predictability might leave no room for spontaneity. Deviating from your meticulously planned routines can be distressing, and difficulty in delegating tasks may lead to burnout and strained relationships. Your desire for control may extend to others, with a compulsion to make decisions for them, even against their will. The fear of losing control could be causing intense anxiety at any perceived loss of authority. pursuit of perfection

Now, imagine your life without your control-related struggles. Letting go of control gives way to trust and the ability to delegate, allowing you to reduce stress. Replace the constant chasing of perfection with a balanced way of living. Rather than rigidly clinging to predictability, you embrace flexibility. The goal is to make you resilient in the face of life’s unexpected changes.

Controlled by Social Media

Are you trapped in a cycle of endless scrolling, constantly refreshing your social media feeds? Do you find it hard to focus on your work because your phone is always within arm’s reach, beckoning you with notifications? Are the endless comparisons to others leaving you stressed and anxious?

From the moment you wake up you check your phone. You start neglecting real-life duties. The quest for likes and comments dictates your self-worth, keeping you glued to your screen even in critical moments. The constant urge to check, even at the cost of sleep, plagues your daily routine. You’re up at night riddled with anxiety.

Imagine a day where you wake up and your first instinct isn’t to reach for your phone. You can sit down to work without the constant distraction of social media. Your self-worth is no longer tied to the number of likes and comments on your posts. Instead, you feel a sense of calm, focus, and self-acceptance.

Through therapy, we’ll break this cycle, replace it with healthier habits, and address the stress and anxiety it’s causing. You’ll regain control of your life, find a balance between the digital world and reality, and discover a sense of peace and productivity you thought was lost. Take the first step toward change.

Is the way you view your body affecting your self-esteem? Do you believe that your worth as a person is tied to your appearance? Do you feel pressure from society to look a certain way?

Negative body image is a disordered perception of one’s own body image and appearance. Loving yourself can be hard when you feel ashamed or dissatisfied with your body, believing you are too fat, too thin, or unattractive in some way. You may feel self- consciousness, shame, and anxiety in relation to your body image but unsure where the root of these feelings are coming from. Events such as past trauma or abuse, and mental health conditions can manifest in these self-defeating behaviors related to body image.

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your feelings and attitudes towards your body. Together we will set realistic expectations, identify and alter negative thought patterns and search deeper to explore the underlying issues that may be affecting your body image. Together we will work towards developing self-compassion and self-acceptance. You are beautiful, you will soon see that too!

Life can be hard when you are in a cycle of unhealthy habits related to food and eating. It becomes even more challenging when it starts to affect your everyday life, relationships and even career. You deserve to be happy and live a life where you are free from maladaptive internal habits and destructive behaviors. Fighting against your negative thoughts feels defeating and isolating. This can be a very heavy battle to fight both mentally and physically.

My mission is to help lift the stress of your chest, and be your support. I am committed to helping you feel empowered and heard. We will work to identify and address the underlying issues contributing to disordered eating. I will help you find healthy habits and tools to implement in your lifestyle. I am passionate about helping you break free and reach a place where you thrive in all aspects of life. Don’t let disordered eating stop you from accomplishing your goals and being the person you want to be. We can overcome these challenges together!
